Founded in 2014, the Afghan Society of Halifax initially focused on uniting and supporting the Afghan-canadian community while fostering connections in Halifax, NS. Over the past decade, the society has brought together numerous Afghan families through a variety of cultural and non-cultural events.

Today, we are pleased to enhance that support by establishing a nonprofit organization aimed at assisting Afghans refugees in their journey to integrate into their new lives here in Canada. At our nonprofit organization, we have a strong and inspiring vision of a thriving community where Afghans refugees are welcomed in Canada and feel truly empowered and deeply connected to one another. Our primary goal is to provide essential support through a diverse range of engaging events that not only celebrate the rich and diverse culture of the Afghan community but also foster meaningful connections among individuals and families. We believe that these gatherings can play a crucial role in sharing valuable resources that can aid in their transition and integration into Canadian society.
